Have you read any of the many, many books about society's collapse after a zombie outbreak?I have and frankly I'm getting a little sick of them. Sure some offer some new spin or twist on the genre, but many of them are just the same plot rehashed over and over again. That might have something to do with why I enjoyed this story so much. No zombies!
No, what this author had imagined up is much more interesting and fun than boring old zombies. This is a creative and well written story about a different EOTW scenario. I found it refreshingly original and highly entertaining. A man, locked up for drunk driving, witnesses the end of the world from behind the bars of a jail cell. (Sharing any more of the plot would be doing potential readers a disservice.) Plus, the story has well fleshed-out characters, solid editing and a satisfying ending.

Another excellent short story by this very talented writer. I love end of the world stories, and if they're stuck in a jail cell, it's even better! Yep, I'd recommend this story and author.
